free read Stones author Polly Johnson 109 Stones author Polly JohnsWhat an interesting melancholy little book this is This book was difficult to read in ways Some books are like that because they take the reality of humanity and reflect it back to us and that's not always a pleasant image This book is one of those and that makes for heavier reading than I was actually expecting going into this The sort of things that go on in this book are heavy enough as adults and the fact that this book deals with a teenager makes it all the depressing but incredibly realistic It tells the story of Coo an withdrawn angry at the world sixteen year old who resents everything that she's been put through and both misses and hates her older brother Sam who was swallowed by alcoholism The book drew me in right away a testimony to the writing To be honest there

free read Stones author Polly Johnson 109 Stones author Polly JohnsI received this book on Net Galley in exchange for an honest The thoughts and opinions are my own This is not the typical book that I go for but after reading the description I figured it was a book I would like to read because it felt like a very honest bookMinor spoilers ahead Coo is a girl who is dealing with a lot of familyparental issues her brother an alcoholic recently died and she is having a lot of issues with the death namely the fact that her parents did not protect her in very violent situations In fact she is glad he is dead and she worried that people will think less of her because of this I however did not think less of her I felt this was a legit emotion I also liked that the character was written in a way that is flawed Having friends that have been very similar circumstances I felt the emotions that were reflected in Coo's story were true and what most people feel in these circumstances Someone is violent and terrorizes y

free read Stones author Polly Johnson 109 Stones author Polly JohnsAlright so I finished this a few minutes but I believe that's when I speak best in a way Overall I really really enjoyed this book It wasn't like any kind of novel I've read before While it took me a second I figured out that the story was told from Britain which was really cool I felt like I got a kind of inside look into British culture The way language was in this story was vital and very accurate in telling different points of view of characters I thoroughly enjoyed trying to figure out how things pieces together and how things happened But with this I was really hoping there would be resolution to some out standing issues in the story It definitely didn't take away from my love of this story but I would LOVE to see into Coo's futurepast and Bank's futurepast I just really enjoyed Bank and wish to read with him in it The characters were outstanding and different from any other characters I've read before The main character Coo was so wise beyond h
